Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Specialist to manage and support the technological infrastructure of our hospitality operations. This role focuses on ensuring seamless operations of IT systems, networks, and applications critical to delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, and excels in providing efficient IT solutions while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Maintenance:
Maintain and monitor point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks.
Network Management:
Oversee and maintain reliable Wi-Fi and network connectivity across all guest and staff areas.
Troubleshoot network issues and optimize performance.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to staff and guests, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
Train staff on IT tools and systems, ensuring efficient utilization.
Security & Compliance:
Implement cybersecurity measures to protect guest and company data.
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS for payment processing systems.
Project Implementation:
Assist in the deployment of new systems, software, and upgrades.
Collaborate with vendors to customize solutions tailored to the needs of the hospitality industry.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an IT Specialist.
Familiarity with POS system ALOHA
Strong knowledge of network management, system security, and server administration.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to address IT issues as they arise.
